QOTW: What is the only song we've played twice in our intro/outro music?

6 comments:

  1. Cookies are awesome! I've got a mixer, blender, juicer thing from Emeril Lagasse. Best.dayum.thing.ever.

Cheating sucks. It's still cheating if the teacher doesn't know.

I still buy CD's. Most of them don't get bought at Wal-Mart because they don't usually buy the albums I'm looking for. I either have to buy them at Hastings or lonestarmusic.com iTunes doesn't always have what I'm looking for. Hey, the Dixie Chicks are pretty good stuff.

People who write checks in line should REALLY REALLY start writing them out BEFORE they find out the total. Honestly, it's not that hard. Most stores will even fill them out for you! I DON'T HAVE ALL FREAKING DAY!

  2. HEY ALI!!!

I think I "claimed" more CD's from the UMYF than I bought. I know I bought a Counting Crows CD once..

I thought you would have something to say about our country music comments!

I've been behind someone that didn't "trust" the machine to fill out their check for them... Even though they have to get the check back to sign it before the cashier puts it away.

And congrats on being the second person to get 5 QOTW's! Looks like you're 2 behind Joy A for the championship.

  3. Hey now, I resent the people who buy CDs segment! I'm an avid CD buyer and I've never bought a CD from Walmart. :-)

I probably spend up to $1000 a year on CD purchases, whether they're new released or old releases. Most of the old releases I purchase I get off Amazon Marketplace for cheap, otherwise my purchasing preference is Best Buy.

Even though I'm 25 (soon to be 26), I still have yet to hop on the digital only trend. When I want to make a purchase, I want something viable to hold to know I've made that purchased. I also download a lot, so I think at least in buying the actual CD I'm paying for something physical...I suppose I don't see the point of buying digital only when I can download digital only for free. :-)

  4. Nobody got the QOTW. Dave, you really just don't care. . .

True, I made a few broad generalizations about CD buyers Kara, but Toby Keith isn't a hot seller at indie retailers.

Country sucks. The only thing worse than country music is American media.

  5. Actually, there are many things equally bad or worse than country music. I will begin a list here, feel free to add/debate:

people talking on their phones, traffic, cold weather, low-carb diets, organized religion, people who abuse twitter, coffee shop intellectuals, music snobs, neocons, no new episodes of Arrested Development, fantasy sports addicts, cumulative final exams, MySpace...

  6. Okay, I'm really just not the biggest fan of mainstream country (Top 40). On my lists of dislikes: Toby Keith (still respect his USO support though), Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill (love her voice, not her music), Sugarland ('cept one song), Carrie Underwood (same as Faith), OMGOD! Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift, Keith Urban (music is all starting to sound the same). I could go on and on and on, but really, do I need to?

I'll stick with the TX/Red Dirt Scene because I can get into that music more. Yes, even this genre has it's share of crap, every genre does. I can't stand the rap or hip/hop on the radio because it's crap and the lyrics suck. I'm sure there's an underground that has some bad butt stuff, but I've yet to hear it.
