As for the runners..One more reason for me not to run...
At our school we have a program to help students pay for lunch...As for the school giving kids shirts and pants...I need to enroll there and go to school without pants ...I need a new pair of slacks...
Teachers fired for having a face book is stupid...They should stay out of other peoples koolaid...In their deffence they should do reasearch on their employees...(I think Dave if just trying to defend the pic on the front page)...

Every school has different needs. It is common knowledge that, as was mentioned, there is a hierarchy of needs...if a student is unable to meet security, survival, or psychological requirements, they will not be able to approach the self-actualization or peak experiences that schools really, ideally, should aim for. A school must focus upon self-actualization, yes, but no child will learn without having the prior levels of the hierarchy reasonably well met. Perhaps a new concept of differentiation needs to be thought out in conjunction with local, state, and federal government...

ReplyDeleteJohn, why stop whats working (being funny/mean)? Who really cares what Kerry or Lieberman think? I remember Dave always loving Batch and I was like WTF? Then after he go injured you were the first person I thought of, but now he gets to stay on for the rest of the year, not have to play and get paid.
ReplyDeleteBeing funny is good, being mean not so. It's not really cool to rip on stuff that people can't change. Kerry being a flip-flopper and Lieberman being a political hack are fair game.

ReplyDeleteI think that the whole Facebook thing is incredibly stupid. Even if it's not really "private" that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be treated that way from a professional and legal stance.
